Among Seattle’s most treasured businesses is Dimitriou’s Jazz Alley, one of the city’s oldest jazz clubs. On May 16, three groups from the Performing Arts Program got the opportunity to play the club’s hallowed stage.

In order, Vocal Jazz, Jazz 2 and Jazz 1 performed a mix of standards and new songs, including one arrangement of Snarky Puppy’s “Young Stuff” written by sophomore Aidan Ward-Richter

This is Performing Arts’ fourth year at Jazz Alley, in what’s become a tradition for students stretching their musical legs on a professional stage, and for parents who come to watch their kids from the dark tables of the restaurant floor.
